Public access covers indexed files and public information pages. Original source documents are not circulated through this portal.

When a public copy is incomplete, the viewer records the copy status and source condition rather than replacing the file.

Unavailable files

Unavailable categories may be listed as no public files, currently not indexed, digitization pending, public copy only, original unavailable or metadata incomplete.

These labels are administrative access states. They do not indicate an additional public process.

Public correspondence should reference the visible File ID and the page title. Requests without a File ID are routed to general index assistance.
