Classification fields

Classification describes the administrative handling of a record. Current public values include Individual pattern, Group-level pattern, Positive repetition, Incomplete data and False record.

Status describes the file workflow: Open, In progress, Reviewed, Archived or Closed.

Confidence levels

Confidence level records the archive assessment of source sufficiency. Low, Medium, High, Incomplete, Contradictory and Undetermined are workflow terms, not reader instructions.

Manual verification

Manual verification may be requested by the Digitization Unit, Records Administration or Quality Assurance. Verification changes metadata only when the source file supports the change.
