FAQ
Why are damaged scans preserved?
A damaged scan may remain the best available representation of the source file. The archive records scan quality and source condition so the limitation is visible.
Can metadata change?
Yes. Metadata can change after administrative review, manual verification or classification review. The digitized copy is retained with the updated public index entry.
Why are some categories empty?
The Archive Explorer includes file classes used by the institution. A count of zero means no public files are currently indexed for that class.
